A
friend saw the gate I was working on with all the flowers and asked me
to make a bouquet of flowers for her wedding!
The scale is much smaller
than the flowers on the gate.

This was an overly ambitious design with all
traditional joinery. William Bastas was generous enough to collaborate with me on
the larger more difficult forgings.
A belt buckle for my best girl, Kimbie.
Making belt buckles is a sort of
tradition in my family. My father, Jeff Kagler, was a welder and was known for
making buckles out of anything weldable from braided welding rod to stainless
pipe, often incorporating coins and abalone shell. My grandpa, James
Cotton, as well as uncles James, Frank and Charlie Cotton, are all talented
welders. My grandma's father, Frank Pagoda was a blacksmith too and I proudly
carry on the tradition in our family.
A new mailbox post for my Momma. Merry Christmas!
